So, what do YOU think about when running ? Let's keep it family-oriented here, guys... I don't want any responses that have the word "Kardashian" in it...
although....
Nevermind.
I've run nearly 12,000 miles in the last seven years and along the way have learned a little about running, training, nutrition and race day strategy. From marathons to ultras, I continue to do them all. Come along and join me as I chronicle my tales of the road less traveled, and traveled completely after daylight...
Thanks for the follow. I just spent some quality time immersed in your thoughts and I love your style. I am stoked to see what else is in store for you!
ReplyDeleteHi Chris,
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm running roads I think about every topic that comes to mind. When I'm running trails I think about/focus on the trail. Roads are a bit easier to run as you don't have to be concerned with tree roots, rocks, low hanging branches, wildlife, ect ... :)
I think it depends on where you are at that day. If something has happened and I am a bit stressed about it, I will usually think about that and solve the issue in my head as I run.
ReplyDeleteOther times I just get lost in what I am doing. How I am feeling. The flow of movement.
I guess my thoughts are pretty random. I can't say that I often think about racing unless I have a goal I am working towards which I don't at this moment.
I do think about races, but anything that comes to mind works too!
