I've run nearly 12,000 miles in the last seven years and along the way have learned a little about running, training, nutrition and race day strategy. From marathons to ultras, I continue to do them all. Come along and join me as I chronicle my tales of the road less traveled, and traveled completely after daylight...

Some serious trail enjoyment on Pine Mountain Trail
Spent some 9 quality miles on the Pine Mountain trail Saturday afternoon as prep work for the North Face 50 miler. What an awesome, awesome day it was. The graph above shows the elevation change over the course of the first 9 miles of the race start, and I was able to make good, good time along this technical section of the course. Rocks, roots, stream crossings and a plethora of opportunities to fall down and break something key, all of these items explain this section of the trail in glorious detail.
