Recovery and Orthopedist visit tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I will visit with my orthopedist at Hughston Clinic and try to gauge the underlying issue with the posterior fibula/lateral collateral ligament pain I have felt on occasion during long runs. I began to feel some of it during mile 12 on Sunday and I want to get an answer to the question of its origin and treatment.

I am going to take an easy 4-5 miles tonight and stretch out my legs. I haven't run since Sunday and the race, but not because I'm sore, because praise God, I wasn't sore at all following the race. My thoughts are on Birmingham though, and I am taking an abundance of caution in ensuring that I don't do anything that would jeopardize my arrival to the Start line in good health.
